Description

Set on a sunny Hayfork corner, this small-town restaurant is celebrated for its standout pizza, lively patio and cold brews, with a horseshoe pit and roomy outdoor seating perfect for groups or a casual date. An experienced kitchen and warm, congenial staff often deliver exceptional meals and service, making it a worthwhile detour toward the coast. Not everything is flawless; guests report inconsistent service and occasional burnt or undercooked dishes and some overpriced menu items, so ask for specifics and stick to the pizza if unsure.

We flew into Hayfork Airport and walked across the suspension bridge to town with four planes, seven people, and one adventurous dog. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a delicious late lunch around 1:30 pm on Sunday. Helen provided excellent service, even making lemonade for our Arnold Palmers. We tried several salads, the incredible smoked chicken, tasty burgers, and pizza along with pizza bread. We will definitely be returning!

I live locally and whenever I eat out, this is the place I choose there 's nothing like it for many miles. I enjoy the super laid back atmosphere, excellent service and yummy grub. The outside tables are delightful on summer evening with a horse shoe pit, lawn games occasional live music. Personally, I always treat myself to the garlic sweet potato fries with the jalapeño ranch dip as an appetizer. (Try 'em and tell me I 'm wrong. But everything 's good the crispy chicken sandwich, the wood fired pizzas, the salads... try anything on the menu, you can 't go wrong.

This place was a pleasant surprise! Very chill atmosphere. It's got that kind of a trendy, hippie, farm-fresh vibe that, when well executed, makes for a unique and tasty restaurant experience. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We were there for breakfast, but I'd imagine the night life would be fun to check out, too. There's lots of space to hang out in the outdoor seating area. There's a legit wood fired pizza oven out there as well, so I'm excited to try their pizza next time! The coffee was pretty dang good. The breakfast was great! I highly recommend the biscuit and gravy breakfast with an added side of bacon. The biscuit was fluffy. The sausage gravy was so creamy, with big chunks of sausage. My eggs were cooked over-medium, just as ordered (it's surprising how many places improperly cook over-medium eggs). The taters were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside potato cubes. And the bacon was just the right amount of crunchy. It seems like the kind of place where all the ingredients are fresh. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. All the staff seemed really friendly and accommodating. It's very laid back. The coffee mugs may not match, but the actual flatware is tasteful, and it seemed obvious that the chef put thought into plating the food in a visually appealing manner. The price isn't the cheapest, but the quality of the food (coupled with the lack of good eating choices in the area) means it's worth it. The next time I'm in Hayfork, I'm definitely going to stop in again!
