The pizza was excellent. Sauce-Great, crust-Great, cheese overflow. It is a classic tavern and it was always at this point. Now I understand why. You know something about a great pizza. We have the mozzarella sticks and they were also great. We called in the order, it was done in time and the bartender attacked us. Very recommended. View all feedback.

First look restaurant looks dirty. Seat yourself sign was out, so we did. Waited 10 minutes, decided to go to the bar to get a menu. She was clearly inconvenienced by my request, asked if we were seated in the dining area and for our drink orders. Shortly after we received our drinks and she instantly walked away. Waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order which never happened. Left $5 for our flat fount... View all feedback.
We will definitely see Wes and the band at Gilmer Road House again when we are on a jaunt away from home on Chicago's North Side. These people know the true meaning of hospitality. But even if they weren't so warm and wonderful, we would come for food! Fabulous menu and talented kitchen.
Outstanding food and decent selection of drinks. Most of the food and starters are made fresh. Very friendly owners/ staff members. Recommended for lunches and after work appetizers, drinks or even for Friday night out.
The restaurant that always accommodates! I moved here a few years ago. I was missing my old towns local staple foods. Every time I’ve mentioned I’d really like “this or that”, the chef always accommodates and never disappoints!! I love Gilmer Roadhouse! It’s a new “staple” restaurant for our family!
This is a good neighborhood tavern, with nice food and beer selection. Food is good, prices are good. Bar section can be crowded, restaurant section usually is not too bad.
Nice place with a real welcoming feel. Great burgers!
