The lady that served us was so nice. Honestly never had better service. The food was yummy, hot and was served so quickly and they have great prices! The dine in and take away menu are different prices and serve different things but still great choices! For the service you receive it’s definitely worth visiting. Will definitely be going back! What Oliver B doesn't like about The Dragon Inn:
Sadly this restuarant isn't half as good as it used to be, we used to be regular customers but since its decline have been ordering less if at all. This evening the service was diabolical; I telephoned my order in and was told the restuarant was busy so please allow 30mins before collection. I stood around the restuarant for approx 25 extra mins ontop of the 30minute wait and was close to walking out to be honest but... View all feedback.
We were disappointed to find that the duck did not come with Hoisin sauce or spring onions; we had to ask for the sauce separately and were charged £3.70 for a small saucer of it. On top of that, there was a £30 service charge added to the bill. We only had six alcoholic drinks between us and did not order any desserts, so we felt like we were being ripped off. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant. It was a disappointing experience and felt like daylight robbery.
This was my first visit to this restaurant. I ordered a few items and requested for them to be brought out together, but this was not done. Two items were brought out first, followed by the rest after we had finished those. The hot sauce was brought out long before the food, resulting in it being only warm by the time the food arrived. The food was average, not the best I've had but not the worst either. The biggest issue was the price - we had 5 items and 4 glasses of diet coke, and the bill came to almost £75! The prices of the items were inflated compared to those on the menu, with the diet coke listed as £2 per glass but charged at £2.95, and spare ribs priced at £7.50 on the menu but charged at £10.80 on the bill. Additionally, there was nearly £9 added as a service charge without any explanation. When questioned, the manager mentioned that prices had gone up slightly and that the waitress should have informed us when taking our order, despite being the one who took the order. If prices had increased, they should have been updated on the menu. This is deceptive, and it seems they are banking on customers not checking their bills and questioning the discrepancies. We requested a new bill with the correct prices from the menu, and it was over £15 cheaper, indicating that prices had not just gone up slightly but had in some cases increased by almost 50%. Upon further investigation, I found that other customers had reported the same issue (and price discrepancies) 6 months and 1 year ago. There was no apology for their actions. This needs to be addressed as it appears they are overcharging customers.
Great Meal with family, food excellent very attentive service. And nice drinks. Great to have a good local Chinese restaurant...
On the 3rd September we turned up to celebrate 2 of our daughters birthdays. We didn’t have time to book as we had Just come home from holiday the day before but that was no problem for them they sat us down and nothing was too much trouble. Our grandson has sensory issues and unfortunately.made a mess we explained this to them and said we would clean up. They said let him be and it wasn’t a problem which made us relaxed. They served us to a high professional standard but made us fill like we was at home. The food was amazing so tasty, and presentation was amazing. Can’t big Dragon Inn up enough I promise once you try here nothing else will be good enough.
I went to this restaurant yesterday and had a starter and 4 main dishes. We also had 2 cans of Foster's beer and 3 sodas with limes, which all added up to a £90 bill for 2 people. The food was not very flavorful and bland. I was very disappointed and won't be returning. There were also hidden extras like a service charge. Overall, the prices were on par with other local Chinese restaurants in London.
