read moreLocated in Romford, Macdowells is known for its traditional pie and mash. Despite some mixed reviews, the pies are described as crusty and meaty, the mash fluffy, and the liquor tasty. Some appreciate the atmosphere and friendly staff, while others find the gravy excessive and the liquor lacking. However, the owner's exceptional service, catering for parties, and variety of menu options are noted as positives. Overall, Macdowells offers a unique dining experience in Romford that is worth a try for those seeking classic British comfort food.
