We got takeaways from here a couple of times during lockdown. It is reasonable food at a reasonable price and I will continue to go there occasionally. The portion sizes are good and the staff are pleasant. View all feedback.
What Sophie Cleary doesn't like about Gah Shing:
Prawn toast was soggy 2/10. Crispy chilli beef was over vinegared and gingery 1/10. Salt and pepper chips were soggy. Kung po chicken was average but wasn’t battered. Egg fried rice was the only okay thing. I wouldn’t recommend this place or come here again. When you go in the shop it’s extremely run down and that should have been the warning sign. The lunchbox is pretty, looks small, but very full. would recommend if they were looking for a small sample of everything. good for the price.
Pretty good Chinese! decent portions and delicious eating
We always order in advance and collect on our way home, though they do delivery aswell. They are always pleasant when serving you and the food is good quality.

Just finished trying to eat our meal...felt the need to right a review. Ordered roast duck (Chinese style), beef chow mien and egg fried rice...it wasn’t nice at all. They were really stingy with the chow mien and the beef was chewy!! I couldn’t swallow. The egg fried rice was not the egg fried rice I know Chinese restaurants can do, it was bland with no egg. And the duck...oh boy, gooey skin in this weird red runny sauce. They didn’t even throw in free prawn crackers! Regret tipping them now. Won’t be going back there again...EVER!
