I traveled to emsworth to train from the island wight and decided to try mandarin! I would never have thought that I find another Chinese as good as my favorite on the island! the prices are good and the portion size fantastic! I had sweet sour chicken balls and a roasted rice, the sauce is perfect and everything boiled to perfection! never change what they do. View all feedback.
What Paradise14722572048 doesn't like about Mandarin:
What used to be the best Chinese in Emsworth where you accepted paying more and waiting longer has completely flip flopped! It’s now average expensive and extremely time consuming! Classic case of eatery assuming and no longer tasting their own food. The takeaway a few doors down is now 75% of the price and 75% better food! View all feedback.
I placed an order at 6:30 and was informed that it would be delivered by 8pm. There was no sign of the delivery by 8pm, so I called and was informed it would arrive by 8:45. Still no show, I called again and was then told it would be 9:30. I had family over for New Year's Eve and this whole experience was a complete disappointment.
Service with a smile even when I got confused and tried to underpay the delivery lady. My apologies, again! Salt and pepper ribs, in particular, were as good as any I've had and better than most. An excellent birthday take away. Recommended.
Not a massive fan of chinese food but walked past this one and was impressed to see a guy cleaning the open plan kitchen looked spotless After a day out walking decided to order a delivery and stay in with a bottle Got to say great decision we had a set meal for three plus breakfast) the delivery was prompt loads of freshly cooked food really tasty and not greasy highly recommend decided to repeat for our next night
Totally **** waited 2 hours for stone cold grub after phoning up and being told his at my door unfortunately I can’t see invisible men avoid
To be honest, this is my usual choice for chinese takeaway after giving up on the miserable woman at New China. The food is usually good quality and tasty although the sauces tend to be insipid and run straight off the food and the delivery often takes longer than suggested with newer staff being quite rude at the door? Despite that, out of the Emsworth chinese takeaways this is the one I'd rather go to for the money and general quality of the actual food.
