We were there for the first time and certainly not the last ti... read more With 5 adults and 3 children we spent a night together at the Waldhotel Felsentor for a birthday. We were there for the first time and certainly not the last time. We the grandparents had a very spacious, quiet room with a balcony, shower, separate toilet, walk in closet. Everything was meticulously clean, functional, simply perfect for a 3 star hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening at a table lovingly set with starched cloth napkins. The dishes we selected tasted excellent and were prepared in a star class kitchen style. The buffet style breakfast was plentiful. Overall, a recommendable house with a very good price/performance ratio. We will definitely meet up there with family or friends in the spring/summer to attend Palatinate hikes and then enjoy the remarkable cuisine in the evenings.
