Nestled by the bay, this restaurant offers a charming atmosphere, stunning views, and a mix of culinary experiences. While some diners rave about the delicious appetizers, like the artichoke dip and seafood offerings, others report inconsistencies in main courses, such as dry chicken and overcooked crab. Service varies, with friendly staff and occasional delays noted. Guests appreciated the quality of food, the accommodating nature of the staff, and the overall ambiance. Despite some hiccups, many find the experience worth returning for, especially after enjoying standout dishes and the picturesque sunset views. Overall, it’s a place to remember.

Was Taylor Leonard at Dinky's Waterfront a mag?
I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. With prices ranging from $30 to $50 per person, it's a great choice for a pleasant night out. I strongly recommend the Fried Goat Cheese—it's incredibly tasty! Also, don't miss the Seafood Platter; it's a highlight of the menu. View all feedback.

What Jessica Kaiser dislikes about Dinky's Waterfront:
This review isn't about the food, since we didn't get a chance to try any. When we arrived, there were open tables, and only one family was waiting in the lobby. The hostess just stared at us until we spoke up, only to inform us that there would be a 90-minute wait. We had no idea why, especially with so many tables available. View all feedback.

The service was a bit slow, but the appetizers we ordered—artichoke dip and mussels—were absolutely delicious, as was the snickerdoodle cheesecake we had for dessert. Those dishes definitely deserve 5 stars! Unfortunately, both of our main courses fell short. I tried the crab cakes, which came with steamed vegetables and red potatoes. The crab cakes were just okay; I wasn't fond of the way they were fried, although the crab itself was good. The sides included two small uncut potatoes and a small yet decent portion of steamed vegetables, but both the potatoes and the vegetables had no flavor at all. My husband chose the chicken Parmesan. He said the pasta was good, but the chicken was really dry, so much so that he couldn't finish it, which is unusual for him. Our waitress was friendly, but she had a tendency to speak very loudly, which became a bit annoying. The location was charming, and the atmosphere was nice, but I’m not sure if we would return.

Fine dining without the pretentiousness! Fantastic is the best way to describe our experience. We had the lobster bisque, lump crab meat cocktail, grilled crab cakes, and filet Oscar. Each dish was absolutely perfect.

The food was absolutely incredible! We ordered the seafood platter, and it was delightful—served hot and cooked perfectly. The key lime pie martini was wonderful, and the Thai seafood over rice was excellent. The dish with shrimp and scallops was also top-notch. Overall, we had a fantastic meal. We even took home some Snickers cheesecake for dessert, which was delicious. Thank you for a remarkable dining experience. Two sisters making unforgettable memories. We will definitely return!

We make it a point to stop by Pinky’s every year for a meal, and we absolutely love this place! The food is consistently amazing, and the staff is always friendly. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!

It can be difficult to secure a table during peak hours, but it's definitely worth the effort. I usually go for seafood when we're in the Outer Banks, but yesterday they had a prime rib special. After seeing it on someone else's plate, I couldn't resist trying it. It was incredibly delicious—one of the best I've had in a while!
