The food at this restaurant is delicious and free from MSG. The staff may not speak English, but they can understand orders. There may not be an English menu or pictures, but the food is freshly cooked to order rather than pre-prepared like at most vegetarian restaurants. This means it's not the place to go if you're in a hurry. Prices are slightly higher than other places, ranging from 50-70 baht. The restaurant has a typical Thai decor with plenty of seating and also offers refreshing drinks. They are not strict vegetarians, so they may use animal-based ingredients if requested. If you prefer strictly vegetarian options, they can prepare dishes separately. There is another vegetarian restaurant nearby that offers dine-in meals for 30-40 baht with brown rice. Additionally, there is a small health food shop located on the same corner.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious.

Each meal costs approximately 40 baht, making it a cheap and worthwhile option. The service is quick and the food tastes delicious. As a vegan and frequent traveler, I highly recommend Ching Sin Vegan Restaurant. (Review updated on 2018-03-20)
The food at this restaurant is delicious and free from MSG. While they may not speak English, they can likely understand your order. There may not be an English menu or pictures available, and the food is cooked to order rather than sitting in trays like at most vegetarian places. This means it's not the best choice if you're in a hurry. The prices are a bit higher (50-70 baht) compared to other places with food in trays. The decor is typical of Thai eateries, with plenty of seating and herbal and fruit drinks for sale. They may not have food items for sale or refrigerated items. They are not strictly vegan, so they will use onions if requested. If you avoid onions, they can cook your food separately. The type of rice served is unknown. Another vegetarian place is located about 50-75 meters down the main street, serving food in trays for 30-40 baht per meal on brown rice. There is also a small health food shop at the corner with the traffic light.
Ching Sin offers a variety of Jay dishes with rice, including popular options like Penang and Massaman curry. They are also known for serving the best Yen Ta Fu in the city, available upon request. Their Khanom Jeen is also outstanding. Sunday specials include Khao Soi, Khao Yam, Nam Ngiaw, Hor Mok, and even Vegan Pizza, which is surprisingly delicious. It's unique to find vegan versions of these dishes in Hat Yai, and they are all of high quality. Prices are very affordable for a Jay Cafe, and the staff is friendly, creating a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend Ching Sin and visit at least once a week.
