The chicken fried chicken dinner was mediocre; the mashed potatoes were just kind of smushed around, but at least they were real potatoes and not instant! They lacked a proper amount of butter and salt, but at least we had salt and peppers shakers to adjust to our liking. Same with the green beans, totally lacking in flavor. They had that warmed-up-straight-from-the-can-to-your-plate taste. The breading on the chicken was good and flavorful. The burgers were big, and the meat had good flavor. The fried were greasy and soggy. The waitress we had was unfriendly and unaccommodating at best. Obviously, we had never been there and didn’t know to seat ourselves, so we were yelled at from across the room to sit where we’d like. She came over to get our drink order and didn’t bother to greet us other than “What can I get ya to drink?” She was inattentive, our party of 5’s cups were empty several times and she never once got them refilled without us having to ask. She wasn’t friendly or helpful, and acted almost as if we were a burden to wait on. (Psst, that’s your job! But at least you don’t go to a restaurant for the waitstaff. For a place that I keep giving the “at least” benefit, and I can whip up a meal of equivalence or better, we won’t be back.

We have never... read more I have been to local flavor a couple of times. We don't get to eat there as much as we would like since we have to drive 45 minutes to get there. We have never been disappointed. We went there for my husbands birthday dinner recently and we ordered the fried pepper jack cheese cubes and they were AMAZING!!!!!! We also loved the chicken fried steak. We have loved everything we have tried. The walking taco is also really good. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
