My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Sunday at 10:30 a.m. expecting a lively brunch atmosphere, but to our surprise, it was pretty empty. You could tell the diner has been around for a long time; it has a well-worn feel to it. I ordered some hash browns and a side of Taylor ham. Unfortunately, the hash browns were not the traditional shredded type I was hoping for—they were overly greasy and not very enjoyable. I actually think I'd rather buy a frozen package from Trader Joe's and cook it at home. The Taylor ham had a strange, off taste. My boyfriend's breakfast plate, which included hash browns, corned beef hash, and eggs, was also just mediocre. I doubt we'll be back for breakfast, though I might give the paninis a shot since they sounded appealing. On a positive note, our waiter, John, was super nice, which made the experience a bit better.
