Pig Pen Barbecue - Hartsville

I ordered the frychos with pork and a side of beans, and I didn’t have to wait long for my meal. The service was excellent! I highly recommend this place if you're in search of some great barbecue!

Most of her food is fantastic, but during my last two visits, the potato salad and coleslaw lacked flavor. It does take some time to receive your order, which is understandable given the drive-thru setting, but the staff is always friendly. Their onion rings are excellent, and the chicken quesadillas are delicious.

Very well-drawn pig. With mac-n-cheese and white beans ordered. They also smoke their own! Will be back for lunch.

Today stopped while on a motorcycle ride. Their onion rings were perfectly fried and seasoned. The smoked pork sandwich was tender and juicy and the buffalo chicken ranch baked potato was filled and delicious. Check out this place, great food and friendly service.

Once, during a difficult time in my life, I left a rather harsh review for this restaurant. I admit it was immature, but I was feeling quite down after being turned down for a job. I want to apologize to you, Trent, for that moment. However, let me tell you, the BBQ here is absolutely fantastic! The brisket is incredible, and that’s really all I need to be satisfied. Though I might have to try the catfish as well, since I know it’s always fresh! Every visit here greets me with warm smiles and a positive atmosphere. I’m grateful that my earlier negativity has been overshadowed by the amazing food. I truly appreciate all of you — and that comes from the heart!
