Description

The once-beloved restaurant has experienced a notable decline in both quality and service, disappointing longtime patrons. While the food retains its deliciousness, frequent order errors and inconsistent preparations detract from the experience. Issues like unclean premises, greasy meals, and poorly executed dishes plague visits, leaving diners frustrated and unsatisfied. Some patrons still find optimism in the tasty fries and reasonable prices, but for many, the restaurant’s charm has faded. With a mix of heartfelt nostalgia and recent disappointments, visitors are left hoping for a revival of the quality and attention they once cherished.

We used to enjoy dining at this restaurant, but it has declined over the years, which is disappointing. The food is still delicious, but on every visit, they have forgotten items from our orders. I ordered a decaf milky coffee for my mom, but it looked more like a hot chocolate. When I asked if it was a decaf coffee, they said they had changed how they make them. My mom asked for a cup of tea instead, and I offered to pay for it, but they took the coffee away and expected me to pay for the tea. I told the server that if I was paying for the tea, I should have the coffee back since I had already paid for it. The server just told me to take it and did not show any understanding. It was a disappointing experience and a shame to see the decline in quality and service.

The food at this restaurant is really delicious, I will definitely be returning. The fries are tasty and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend coming back here.

Now I know Hartlepool still needs work, but as we needed a few shops we headed to Hartlepool wandered round the farmers market highly recommended, hit the shopping centre small chain stores but plenty of choice wanted lunch so called into the Galleries Coffee House, good heavens I have no idea why we stayed, but dire need of a cup of tea. Not sure they have a cleaning rota, the floor could do with seeing a mop, delightful fluorescent cards highlighting the non special specials, stained ceilings, grubby seats, not forgetting the large salt container direct from the supermarket . Cheap it was not, This is the first time for a long long time that I have given such a bad review, I only gave 1 because I had too and the staff were quite pleasant.

We stopped by this restaurant for a quick sit-down, where we ordered one bottle of soda and one slice of cake. The total came to over £5, which we found a bit pricey. The atmosphere was okay, with plenty of staff bustling around cleaning tables. The portions of food we saw being served looked generous, though we didn't try any ourselves. Unfortunately, the toilets were not up to par, as my husband described them as "not nice".
