Jacksons Wharf - Hartlepool
Jacksons Wharf
Description
The restaurant offers a mixed bag of reviews, with some customers commenting on the overpriced menu and small portion sizes, while others praise the friendly staff and delicious food. Despite some complaints about the lack of gluten-free options and high prices, the atmosphere is described as welcoming with an excellent view of the marina. Customers mention enjoying the roast dinner, chicken burger, cocktails, and breakfast options. Overall, while some diners may find the prices high for what they receive, others appreciate the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, making it a mixed but generally positive experience for most.

Always good to eat here when visiting family in the area. They have a NGCI menu and a separate fryer for chips. I have eaten here many times and never been glutened. They also have genius rolls for burgers.
On arrival they let me know it was not a gluten free menu. But can highlight item that can be made gluten free. So ended up with a chicken and bacon sandwich with gf bread. The rest of the family had lovely meals. Would not recommend if your wanting a full meal.
These are part of the Marstons Group and have a dedicated Gluten Free menu which you can ask for at the bar. It’s not massive but there quite a few decent options on there including GF vegetarian options also.
Absolutely lovely pub with a charming group of hard working, friendly staff that make every visit I've had a cosy experience. Food is great, classic pub plates with a lot of interesting and enjoyable side dishes available. Kebab served here too which is a real treat for anyone coming for food later in the evening : Highly recommend!
