When available, our Lemon Sole Chips provides a delicate option. For seafood lovers, the Whole-tail extra-large Whitby Scampi Chips comes with chips and our homemade tartar sauce for the perfect complement. We also offer Cod Bites Chips, delicious pieces of cod in crispy batter, and the Fish-Face Sharing Platter, a tempting mix of squid rings, prawn cutlets, battered chunky cod bites, salt and pepper squid, and onion rings with a choice of three dips. For lighter appetites, the Half Lot gives a smaller succulent piece of cod with chips and bread and butter, subject to availability. If you’re craving something different, try our Homemade Pattie Chips with options like savoury, corned beef, double cheese, or fish. Don’t miss the famous McWhinneys Battered Sausage Chips, made from the finest pork cuts, or the Southern Fried Chicken Chips—six succulent strips served with your choice of dip. Other tasty treats include Spam Fritters, Battered Burgers, Haggis Chips, Battered Black Pudding, and Chicken Nuggets available in 8 or 12 pieces. Our chicken burgers come in delicious variants such as the Chicken Mayo Burger, served in a toasted brioche bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise, and the BLC Chicken Burger with maple-cured bacon, jack cheese, and all the trimmings. We also offer a special Pensioners Special—a small cod and chips served with bread, butter, and a pot of tea or coffee, available from 11:30 am to 6 pm for guests over 60.
