What Lamarr E doesn't like about Roost:
The Roost is located inside the Marriott in downtown Hartford, a ghost location that is basically Vivo. Either way, you can sit inside the bar area or choose takeout. We dined in and got the chicken panini and the blackened chicken Mac and cheese. I wasn't the biggest fan of either sadly. Each item could've used a lot more flavor or some type of spice. Not a restaurant. From the kitchen at the Marriott. Don’t trust the time they say your food will be ready. I showed up and they hadn’t started it. The concierge had to go to the kitchen and get them working on it. Late to my daughter’s volleyball tournament game.
Drinks were overpriced. Charged for extra items at the bar. No good
Ghost kitchen located inside of the Marriott downtown. I was super confused thinking it was a brand new restaurant but it’s just the Vivo, the hotels main restaurant. Sat in the bar area and ordered the mac and cheese and chicken panini. It wasn’t good at all, had no flavor or any type of spice whatsoever. With the high priced drinks and tasteless food, I was very disappointed.
The blackened chicken Mac Cheese was delicious! I had never tried Roost before and will definitely be dining with them again soon.
Very friendly staff.. perfect for going to the Connecticon since it’s right next door. Walking distance from lots of places to eat..
