We picked up the BBQ box last night from MAX A MIA and it was absolutely the best. I’ve purchased similar deals from local “smoke houses” and this BBQ was far better. The absolute best brisket I’ve had in CT.the reheating directions were spot on. Kudos to the person who came up with this and hope that maybe this was a precursor to a new Max BBQ restaurant View all feedback.

Made reservations thru OpenTable two weeks in advance. Also max advantage members. Were seated in the bar? Told we needed to order right away as we had theater tickets 2 1/2 later. Service was slow and one meal was over cooked and tough. Getting someone’s attention was difficult and resulted in one member of the party not getting served. Last night I returned to Max's Oyster Bar for dinner after an awful experience I had a few weeks ago mostly because the way Allison Constable handled my complains and because of a letter of apology I received from Kevin Gillespie. Thanks to both of you for making it a delightful evening.

Our bartender Jennifer was fantastic. She was friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable - we couldn't have asked for more! We will definitely be recommending her to others. Thank you so much!
Our server was amazing. They were very attentive and kept us informed about any delays from the bar or kitchen. We chose to sit in the bar area since we were dressed casually and felt very relaxed at our booth table. The steak received high praise. The oysters were fresh, although we were not told the specific types. The salmon was moist and perfectly cooked, but slightly salty. The salad was delightful- light, fresh, and had a unique flavor.
