Reviews - Gana
Reviews summary
Gana Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, particularly noted for its authentic Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. While many patrons rave about the delicious, reasonably priced food and friendly, attentive service, several reviews criticize the inconsistent service and issues with food quality, especially during busy times. Guests have reported long waits for food and drinks, incorrect billing, and subpar takeout. Despite these concerns, the vibrant flavors and variety of dishes have left a positive impression on numerous diners, making it a recommended spot for those seeking flavorful South Asian meals in a lively atmosphere.
Was Simi Nagy at Gana a mag?
If you want your taste buds to experience an array of the most exotic, spices, flavours and I suggest heading over to Gana. I had the prawn Kothu Rotti whilst the prawns were overcooked the overall flavour was absolutely sublime. The portion was very giving as well. My sister had the masala dosa which she enjoyed, the sambal was flavoursome with a good kick of chilli. Garlic mogo was stunningly seasoned and crispy.... View all feedback.
What Getaway714648 dislikes about Gana:
I booked a lunch for 80 people and was promised the hall from 11 AM to 4 PM. Our guests arrived around 12:30 PM after a wedding at the civic centre. Starters were served only around 2 PM and the main course at 3 PM. We were then asked to leave by 4 PM because the restaurant needed to prepare for an evening event. The service was terrible—some guests left early without even getting the main course! View all feedback.

I ordered food, but the service was very slow and poor. The food itself was not good. I waited for a long time to receive my order and to pay.
The food at Gana Restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious South Asian cuisine.
The food at this restaurant is of good quality and is perfect for Sri Lankans who enjoy spicy curries.
Best customer service! Perfect for events, sitting in and take away. Top quality and reasonable prices.

I have given this restaurant a 5 star rating so that it can be read by as many people as possible hopefully including the Management. I ordered a coffee with my meal the first time which was 3/4 sweetened milk with a sprinkling of coffee the waiter's attitude was blatently disrespectful so I spoke to him about it when I returned the second time he was more professional. I returned yesterday for the third time was served by another waiter but was dismayed to find that my coffee was made with milk that had curdled so if the Management are not aware of what is going on I now draw it to your attention as it is definitely not a mistake. I won't be returning. The food was good on all 3 visits.
The Kottu Roti and mutton rolls were absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!
Ordered 2 Lamprise for colection today 28.08.2020. Each cost £9. It's the worst Lamprise I ever had in my life. The rice was overcooked, the meat was gone off. The Cutlet was black and days old. Will never order from them. GO TO HELL....
I visited this restaurant twice...I'll definitely come back again . Chilly chicken dry is a must try. Also the waiters are very polite and helpful..food is amazing very tasty.. would definitely go there again
As I titled waste of time. It was horrendous. Table was booked for 19.00 and food was served by 20.30. Staff dont know what was going on. They were serving dishes 1 by 1 on each table and no one knows what they ordered lol. Such nonsense and nosy environment. Felt like a Fish Market. Won't rate the food as that disturbance has spoiled the whole mood and didnt actually tried anything. Except mango lassi and that too was way to sweet.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning with incredible food. The dishes are super delicious. My only suggestion would be to consider adding more washrooms, as one is not sufficient for such a large restaurant.
The food was tasty, but the presentation was lacking. There was a delay due to an event, but the staff apologized to us. Despite feeling slightly disappointed, I will give them another chance. The flavors were excellent.

If you like Gana restaurants, go to the wembley one. This one is just worse by all standards and has been known to be worse for years, we just went was it was nearby and its been years since we went here. Firstly, the cutlery and the plates weren't fully washed. We didn't complain as it was only tiny marks but not good. The food like the paratha is quite greasy and the milk hoppers are so sweet from the condensed milk. The chicken 65 was tasty but everything elsewas quite underwhelming. Not worth the price.
