Went here at lunch time, not very busy but staff took their time to come over, once they did come they were attentive and answered questions in detail, great if you want to spend time cathcing up with friends, not so good if you are in a rush. Food is very good, great flavour, good size portions. Would go again. If you are drinking order two up front and you will be OK.

A relatively small restaurant but very well arranged, with great décor and furniture. It also has a bar for those who only want to go for a quick drink. The food is of a good quality and competitively priced.

Went there with my family, who had arranged a booking for 20 people for a 65th birthday party. When we arrived, there was a wedding party there who had booked the same space. My family had paid a deposit, attended a food-tasting and reserved the room in advance for a set menu. They eventually agreed to return the deposit and offer a small compensation which wouldn't have really covered the extra costs we then incurred by finding another restaurant, ordering a la carte plus drinks (instead of a set menu which included drinks). Very disappointed, can't comment on the food.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, I assumed there would be a lift for buggies and elderly guests who may have difficulty climbing stairs. However, my husband and I ended up carrying the buggy upstairs ourselves. Despite this, I thought the small, friendly atmosphere was nice. We were the first guests at the restaurant, which I thought was good as we could order at a leisurely pace. We ordered hakka noodles for my son, mild chilli paneer, rice, masala mogo, butter naan, baingan bharta, and rice. We were served papadom with chutney as a free snack while we waited for our food. The starters were served in small plates and the paneer was delicious, but the masala mogo tasted like it was made quickly with a pre-made sauce. The hakka noodles were spicy instead of plain, so my son had to eat something else while waiting for his food. We expected larger plates for the main course but didn't receive them as the waiters were busy talking to other customers. We struggled to get their attention and ended up eating off small plates. The butter naan was not well-buttered and appeared to only have a small amount of ghee on it. Some parts were crunchy and undercooked, so we could taste the raw flour dough. The rice was dry, and the baingan bharta was a small portion that didn't taste like eggplant but rather like a tomato curry. Towards the end of the evening, a waiter offered us a larger plate, but we felt it was too late as we were almost finished eating. The lack of warmth from the restaurant staff was disappointing, considering how empty the restaurant was. There was plenty of time for them to improve, but sadly I wouldn't return to this restaurant.

Verdict: The Cinnamon Place Owner takes no accountability for the issues. We wouldn 't recommend anyone booking this place for your parties. Background: The main party hall was booked for 50 people with DJ for 5th November 2016 as part of a non profit charity event with everything well detailed and discussed with business owner having plenty of time to review and make an informed decision. Issue 1: Asked for food to be Jain but served us non jain food. At the time of booking, the restaurant confirmed that they understand what 'Jain ' food is. At the time of tasting, the few dishes tasted were served as per expectations. On the day, 2 out of 4 items were non jain. Issue 2: When mentioned that a 50 70 turn out was expected for our event, a minimal contractual agreement of 70 was made. When asked to change the contract to minimum 50, constant hurdles were created until the day of the event detailed below Issue 3: Asked not to serve any alcohol to anyone who are our party participants the staff ignored it and served it anyway. When questioned, they didn 't stop. Issue 4: Contractual agreement said that there will be no customers at the bar agreed multiple times due to the nature of the event. This was breached throughout the night even after we questioned it. Issue 5: A double booking was made without consulting us because they thought that a live musical band and a DJ would be able to work together on the night in the same area when an agreement of the entire area to be used by us was already made. They played this card until 2 3 days prior to the event day which affected our enthusiasm to secure additional sales for the event. Issue 6: An alteration to the parallel running booking was made that would increase their numbers from 25 to 45 which means that they would overflow from the allocated space into our agreed area which was later rectified by themselves. However, it is an issue which shouldn 't have occurred when we agreed to pay as per the contractual agreement regardless of any lack of sales. Details regarding issue 2: Sunday, 25th September 2016 Verbal and written confirmation of scope. Deposit paid. Contract to be drafted. 1st 14th October 2016 Constant delays in getting across the contract. Saturday, 15th October 2016 Contract provided with plenty of errors. Increased numbers to 70 when it should have been 50. Incomplete scope mentioned. Double booking made without our knowledge which resolved after a few visits and phone calls not something one should be doing once a commitment to us made. Wednesday, 19th October 2016 Visit was made to resolve issues and a new contract to be drafted. However, another incorrect contract was drafted. These constant incorrect contracts and missing information delayed our sales which in turn affected our event grossly. Saturday, 22nd October 2016 I personally had to alter and draft the existing contract as the event was just over 2 weeks away. This was confirmed and signed by the restaurant. Monday, 31st October 2016 Issue 6 raised. Just 5 days prior to event when the entire event was planned as per the availability of space Friday, 4th October 2016 Out of courtesy, I informed the venue that we haven 't managed to make enough sales and only 35 people may be attending instead of the 50. So, if they could not cook for the remainder, then that would be appreciated. I agreed to pay for 50 regardless of the situation as it was part of the agreement. On the contrary, I was told that the owner of the restaurant will therefore allow external customers which he did despite being asked not to and the contract stated that. Also, I was threatened that that any 'drinking water ' requested beyond 1 time by each person will be charged a service fee which I will be liable to pay. Everything above took place even after I agreed to pay for the entire booking as per the agreement. After the event, all the problems were verbally communicated in presence of a witness committee member and no acknowledgement was made. We 've paid the entire sum for the original numbers as I was contractually bound. There is clearly no accountability taken nor does the business seem to care about keeping their word for the event. Which was disappointing. I believe that if the business isn 't able to sustain based on the prices offered and discussed it should be communicated it to the customer at the earliest. A day or two maximum from the verbal agreement. No changes are to be made after the paper contract is signed unless both individuals agree on resolution. How did the event go? The event did go well despite plenty of setbacks and lack of cooperation with the staff, mainly due to everyone in the committee working hard to sort out all the issues without our guests noticing the issues. The committee delivered the best and kept working with each other. Final note, the dance floor can 't take any more than 30 people at a time despite the owner stating the capacity of 70 100. Also, I am happy to make the pricing and contract public if that is of any interest.
