After a very dissapointing experience up the road a bit, actually being able to sit down and drink a coffee that tastes of coffee rather than froth and brown milk, enjoy a bun and be treated as a human throughout prompts me to write this review. For the record , I bought the same cappucino coffee as I did before but this time, it was far stronger, tastier and served with a smile rather than a snarl. The contrast is just hard to countenance, but vertheles real.
Double espresso with cream the staff understand their own menu and what you mean, unlike other places where staff ask you if you want single or double and if you want cream or not. On Sunday they have a couple of copies of the Sunday Times for customers to read two racks at the front and the back so if you don't see a copy in the nearby rack or somebody else is reading it, check the other rack. Convenient for all the shops.
Good coffee and availability of snack items that are fresh. The service is quick and friendly too. Seating is comfortable and lots of space.
The coffee was only lukewarm and the lemon roulade tasted dry and stale, not fresh. The staff seemed overworked and short-staffed, resulting in them being curt and rushed.
