The staff were friendly but inexperienced, as they never cleared tables and often went back to the kitchen empty-handed despite having several tables to clear for over 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the waitresses had long hair that wasn't tied back, which could lead to a hair getting in the food – not very professional. The food was good, but I couldn't order dessert because I couldn't get anyone's attention to clear the plates and request a dessert menu.

Great value... read more Quite simply the best pub food I've ever had. Incredibly steak pie and awesome fish and chips. The staff are amazing and so courteous and efficient. Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere in what must be one the oldest pubs in the UK. Everybody should try this pub you won't be disappointed. Well done to all of you.
