Bruce Arms - Harrogate
Bruce Arms
Description
Nestled in the heart of Masham, this gastropub presents a mixed dining experience for patrons. While the beer garden and friendly atmosphere charm visitors, the quality of food often falls short, with inconsistent dishes ranging from lukewarm meals to poorly cooked items like tough beef and rock-hard potatoes. However, some guests rave about the exceptional fish and chips, hearty Sunday roasts, and attentive service, all at affordable prices. With a welcoming staff and a cozy vibe enhanced by local regulars, this place might just win you over if you’re lucky enough to sample the right dishes.

Lovely staff, really tentive and helpful! Great relaxing atmosphere. The food was cooked beautifully and full of flavour and well worth the money paid. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.
We called in for Sunday lunch where we were served 'proper food ' instead of the standard pub chain food. The cauliflower cheese was just amazing.
Popped in for a drink after our walk. Pub was quiet as it was a Saturday afternoon and no food on as the pub is under new ownership. We were served quickly by a friendly member of staff. The pub was welcoming and well decorated
Fantastic atmosphere, super friendly staff, make sure you visit when in masham, can’t recommend highly enough
Great little pub. The welcome from the staff is as warm as the open fire. Great selection of beers. Food is served daily, (lunch and evening) and it is pretty good, and reasonably priced. I got the ham and cheese baguette, which is served with chips and salad. Hit the spot perfectly. Beer garden at the rear, and tables at the front. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.
