We didn’t have time to eat but the diners I noted were enjoying their food and it certainly smelled great. Lovely pub with an enormous well facilitated beer garden. The worst part was the service; the server approached us twice to see if we were done, despite it being obvious that we weren't. The second time, they even asked if they could pack up my uneaten meal, even though I only had a single chip and a piece of scampi left on my plate. If they wanted us to leave, they could have simply asked. I can't recommend this place and will not be returning. Price per person: £20–30.

My wife and I bot... read more We spent the weekend in Masham and decided to have lunch at The Bruce Arms. It’s a fantastic pub with a great atmosphere and creative cuisine. My wife and I both ordered the steak pie with chips, and it was the best pie we've ever had! The chips were also delicious. While the food might take a little while to arrive, they were quite busy, and everything is made fresh. We live an hour and 40 minutes away, but we will definitely return to The Bruce Arms for the steak pie alone.
