Alcona Brew Haus - Harrisville

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is incredibly fresh and reasonably priced for the quality. The beer selection is excellent and sure to satisfy any beer enthusiast. Plus, they have igloos—how awesome is that? In Northeast Michigan, dining options are limited, but this brew house offers igloos and a welcoming atmosphere. I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews; it seems like they're referring to a completely different place. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!

We dined here for lunch during the Covid shutdown and were impressed with how strictly they adhered to safety protocols. The food and service were excellent, and we enjoyed our meal inside a heated igloo, which was nice and toasty at about 55 degrees—perfect for wearing a winter sweater. The French dip was absolutely the best I've ever had!

Fantastic beer with complex flavors. Food was delicious. Had an issue with the brisket (a minor one) an the owner addressed it immediately and generously. Beer is brewed on-site. Facilities are updated and clean. Outdoor seating was beautiful and well attended to. Great experience!

Having visited Alcona Brew House multiple times, I felt compelled to share a positive review. Although there are many taverns and pubs in the area, few can match the exceptional service and quality of food found at this unique tavern. The waitstaff are always friendly, and the menu offers a variety of enticing options and specials. The food is consistently fresh, and there's always great music playing in the background. The prices for food and drinks are on par with other nearby establishments, and you won't find anything cheaper in Northern Michigan. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and relax. We can’t wait for our next visit!

You have to eat outside in igloos, good service, good food, cold beer. The Bretzel is a must, menu currently limited, can not wait until indoor kitchen. Very recommended.
