Bella Luna Wood-fired Pizza

We came here for lunch while visiting historic downtown Harrisonburg. This is definitely not your run of the mill pizza place and has both an upscale food offering with a super friendly vibe.They offer a great variety of pizza choices as well as a create your own. Each pizza is a 10” personal pizza which could be shared if you aren’t too hungry. They have other options as well besides pizza but we only tried the pizza.I created my own with mozzarella, hand pulled sausage, mushrooms and arugula. My partner had the Brooklyn and our daughter has the cheese (fresh mozzarella). Each pizza was very good and had super fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed mine a lot with the fresh arugula and the well seasoned sausage. The dough was very good and cooked perfectly.The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The layout was vey open and they have different seating options that would fit anyone’s preference. I definitely come back here again when I’m in town!

Great pizza. The crust was crunchy yet gooey inside and the toppings were all high quality.

Their specials menu is unique and complex. Their Ring of Fire pizza is a great staple on the menu. The drinks could be more unique/complex but still very good. Definitely recommend dining in instead of delivery.

This is my first visit to Bella Luna, we were celebrating my grandson's birthday, we waited 30 minutes for the table. The restaurant was extremely packed, the waitress came to us quickly to give us drinks and then we ordered our appetizers which came quickly then replaced our dinner order and it took a good 40 minutes to get that. We all ordered mixed drinks and the bartender didn't spare the alcohol, they were very strong. The food was very good but I am on the fence as to whether I will return. The young lady that waited on us was very attentive, she was an excellent server.

Cool location for college. Great service and good selection including cauliflower crust. Maybe too much corn meal and charcoal finish on crusts, but otherwise decent. Easy parking and walk ability.
