I attended a brunch here with a few friends it was phenomenal. The food was excellent, as were the bottomless mimosas sangrias. The music was great. It did get really crowded towards the late afternoon, so that was time for us to go, lol. I will definitely attend another even held here. FYI there is no parking for this venue, you'll have to park around the corner in a parking garage or find street parking.
This is my second visit here. Although many other reviews posted about poor service on mother's day, I felt the restaurant would be better prepared after a bad experience one special day. Planned a brunch for father's day. What a big mistake. Our host was nice and a saving grace. She was handling multiple tables alone. No water was provided for a while. I had to ask for it. Appetizer never came until after we finished the main course and asked again about it. In total I asked different people thrice for the appetizers. The third time after asking our original host, she brought it out.The buffalo wings had too much salt. I guess they added extra salt by mistake forgetting buffalo sauce is already salty. Why is the order of the appetizer messed up so frequently here?A wait for over 40 minutes. Then came the main course. I do recommend the chicken and waffles. But stay away from the Benedict. The salmon isn't fresh at all. Tasted old. We couldn't tell if the hollandaise sauce is made fresh or store bought. It tasted extremely bland like store bought queso. The muffins were overcooked and too tough.Would have loved to go again for the chicken waffles but the whole experience tells us to do otherwise.
Was here with some of the girls from our Meetup group for their Bottomless Brunch, and had a great time. Service was quick and the Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was really good, and the Drinks were pretty decent. Good Music..!!
The food was delicious!! The server was amazing!!! The vibe was really nice!! It’s one of the best spots (foodwise) in Harrison!! Will definitely go back and try other food! It was a lovely experience
Brunch at The Vanguard was pretty much what you'd expect. The place had a light crowd and felt Covid-safe, with groups seated at a comfortable distance. The highlights were definitely the fried pickles — they were light, crispy, and delicious. The red sangria was excellent, and the waffle was fantastic. On the downside, three of us ordered the Chicken & Waffles, which came as a large sandwich. While the waffle was outstanding and the chicken crispy, the chicken lacked seasoning, was dry, and served lukewarm. I considered sending it back, but our server was nowhere to be found, so I just made do. Overall, if I find myself at Urby again, I’d give The Vanguard another shot, but this visit was a bit of a mixed bag.
