Was ken slighton at Biggers Inn Grill a mag?
I can only comment on the dining experience as I didn’t stay overnight. I had the ribeye, which was excellent. The restaurant was busy, so there was a wait for our meals, but our waitress was attentive and provided great service. View all feedback.
What Owen Davis dislikes about Biggers Inn Grill:
A bit off the main road, so keep an eye out for the signage, but it's definitely worth it. We didn't stay overnight, just came for dinner, and the food, drinks, and service were excellent! View all feedback.

Although we didn’t stay at the B&B, we decided to dine at the steakhouse. The prices felt high considering the quality and atmosphere. Our total came to $160 for two meals, two beers, and two appetizers. I called at 3:45 to ask about reservations and was told they weren’t necessary. However, when we arrived at 6 PM, we were informed that reservations were required. The staff weren’t very polite about it but eventually squeezed us in. It seemed like this was the usual response to walk-ins, and we ended up seated just inches from the front door. The tables had no tablecloths, and our silverware came wrapped in thin paper napkins. The table wasn’t even properly set, which felt more appropriate for a casual café than a steakhouse. Our waitress admitted the appetizers were frozen, having checked the box in the freezer; they were average at best. The salad was just lettuce, half a sliced cucumber, two cherry tomatoes, a few store-bought croutons, and a small sprinkle of grated cheese, served with a cup of pre-made dressing. Overall, the starters were uninspired. For the main courses, the Cajun chicken Alfredo arrived on a large plate loaded with overcooked pasta and canned Alfredo sauce. The chicken breast was cooked well but bland, accompanied by a slice of frozen garlic bread. I ordered the New York strip steak medium rare, but it came out well-done with no pink or juices. The asparagus looked appealing but was overcooked and mushy. The baked potato was cold and couldn’t even melt the butter, served with a small cup of sour cream but lacking toppings like cheese, chives, or bacon. I prefer my potato fully dressed. The rolls were frozen but warmed up, without a golden crust, and the butter was ice cold. Our waitress was very kind, though she handed us to-go boxes right after I’d taken my second bite, which made me feel rushed. Still, she was sweet, and my husband left her a good tip. On the other hand, the woman at the front desk didn’t seem happy in her role. All in all, the experience was disappointing.
Excellent dinner at Biggers Inn Grill. Our group enjoyed prime rib, filet, and New York strip, all perfectly cooked to order. While some might find the prices a bit steep, each meal comes with bread, salad, and your choice of two sides, ensuring you won’t leave hungry. We also shared the cheese curds, which were generously portioned for four people. The service was outstanding! The new deck out back offers a beautiful view of the river, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. This is a fantastic place for a special night out.
