Skipper Ben's - Harbour Grace

Great presentation and quality for a limited menu. I have some food allergies that Viola was able to accommodate with some notice.

I have been to Skipper Bens and everything was great. Old home restored and the front dining are overlooks the harbour.Food was homemade and to die for. Homemade bread, bluberry crepes with whipping cream.

My husband and I had a nice dinner here. We each had the three course menu with the pan-fried cod, which was quite good. It came with potatoes, carrots, hollandaise sauce and some exceptionally good coleslaw. For our appetizers, I had the sweet potato and carrot soup, which I thought was just okay. My husband had the seafood chowder, which he liked a lot. We were also served some delicious homemade bread, which always helps a restaurant win me over. For dessert, my husband had the partridgeberry cheesecake and I had the chocolate chip bread pudding with ice cream. Both were good but not excellent. Overall a nice dinner with large portions at a good value, but not amazing. Service was excellent and added to the experience.

Just love the crepes and the service is #1. Wether you are staying at the B& B or not you are welcomed to eat here. I highly recommend it.

What a quaint little house. Been trying to get in here since last year when we heard it of from friends . Every Time we stop by they were booked. So finally decided to make reservations in advance. What a great idea. It was a beautiful evening looking over the water. The 3 Staff were all over top the wonderful. We couldn't have asked for any better They have set menu but have at least 3 choices of each. We both had seafood chowder which was very good. I like mine just this way but my husband prefers more chunky !Hot delicious homemade bread was served with our wine to start. Main meal was fabulously spiced fresh cod with veggies and mini potatoes but best side was this amazing cole slaw. Dessert we had choice of blueberry, strawberry rhubarb or bake Apple ...:cheesecake or crepes. Our choice blueberry crepes. Off it's we both cleaned our platesI can't say enough about the staff . Will definitely go back again. Make reservations so you won't be disappointed
