We have been there a few times and it was good. Our dinners tonight were excellent both food and service. Chef Todd is doing a great job. Our waitress Amy was terrific. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Impasto:
the service would have been higher and was without fault of our server zack, but they did not have enough personal for the amount of diners there. Unfortunately, this is the not of most restaurants we visit. it is a great place to go and I highly recommend it. that was our first time. View all feedback.
New Italian place located in the quarters of the former Market Table. The good: improved acoustics, excellent focaccia, tasty Caesar Salad, friendly service. BUT very disappointing entrees. Meatballs are dense and dry, fish overcooked, and pasta had been in the pot far too long. This was a big disappointment.
Really want to like this place. The location, vibe, and the service is good. The food unfortunately was not. The salad was pretty good. Unfortunately both of our pasta entrees were average. One dish very salty and the other pretty bland. Hope they are able to step up the food game.
I am a lover of meatballs! Few can measure up! I can say with all honesty that I have never tasted a finer meatball!! It was AMAZING! You can order them as an appetizer or on a flatbread. There is a spaghetti and meatballs entree available on the children's menu. My only recommendation would be for there to be an adult version available! Our server was a complete doll, and I highly recommend you GET THE MEATBALLS!!!
Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff friendly. I love open kitchen where you can see the chef and staff prepare dishes. I could see the chef paid attention to detail especially since he made sure each plate presented well and he wiped the plates edges before they went out. They even have seating (bar like) in front of the kitchen. This place is new so as expected there will be growing pains. We ordered 2 cocktails and they were very underwhelming and watered down. Overpriced at $12-13. I suggest stick to beer or wine. We sat in a corner with a huge fan/vent blowing on us. It was less windy outside. The constant blowing on us made it very uncomfortable. Ok this is an Italian yesterday. Huge mistake they do not serve bread with oil or just bread before the meal. Also, they do not come around with fresh cracked pepper or shredded parm. We started with the mussels and they were very good. It came with one small crostini, which to me why bother. It should present with a few more. We shared the lobster risotto and duck confit gnocchi dishes. I thought the duck dish was very good. Nice and creamy. The mushrooms were a little chewy. The lobster risotto was not that great. Yes I saw lobster pieces but it just didn't have that forward palate seafood taste. When I put out money for lobster, I want to definitely feel like I am eating lobster. Pizza looked good coming out of oven. Service was slow in the sense we weren't checked on that much but ut was busy. I would like to return in 3 months or more to see if things improve.
Really lovely staff and ambiance. Unfortunately the food just isn't up to par yet. The gnocchi were closer to mashed potatoes and the under-seasoned sauce overwhelmed the dish. The bread seemed stale or microwaved. Drinks were a little off: I've never had a take on a french-75 that involved putting it over a ton of ice. Lots of room for improvement.
