The restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine. The soups were delicious and the flavors were bold, which I enjoyed. The service was attentive and efficient. However, the only downside was the high prices, which I found to be expensive. View all feedback.
What Karel Nohejl doesn't like about Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine:
This restaurant in the Upper Valley has been the worst Thai experience so far. The waitress was unfriendly and appeared irritated to serve us. When we requested our dishes to be spicy, she made a comment like, "Don't complain if it's too hot for you white guys!" which seemed racially charged. The food was below average, with the tofu dish being served cold and the Spicy Udon noodles smelling of burnt oil. The only de... View all feedback.
Excellent food is usually a little slow, but given the times we are expected in it. The food is worth it!! Update the owner response As I said it was a little slow, honest review. I also said that it is to be expected in those times when we are and the food is worth it! I've eaten several times here. I gave you a very good review. On Mother's Day, my family recruited meals at least 15-20 minutes before I finished their meals before I got mine, we didn't complain at all and I want to go back because the food is so good. People check places so others know what to expect. So my rating was maybe you'll wait a bit, but it's worth it. Everyone should have patients when he goes out to fight people to eat, and we need to understand that, that's all I tried to say. I didn't ask to be free of my meal because I got it much later, then all the others.... I would have left all this to my first assessment, but not because of your somewhat rude answer I am now guessing what, I will still eat in your place because I love the food! Nice day.
Basement style restaurant (check google pics). Food took some time to arrive but I gathered it was due to demand (lots of take out orders). I ordered the basil duck and the shrimp spring roll . Everything was sooooo delicious. The basil duck was crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. Even once full I wanted to keep eating because it was so good. Had a good spice level and the waitress was nice and attentive. I left this review because the owners responses to the reviews. It’s refreshing to see honesty and a business stand up for their staff, their quality, their prices, and not cower to people complaining because they didn’t get the have it your way Burger King experience. It’s clear some of the negative ratings are misplaced and should not impact your decision to dine here. If you’re in a hurry it may be a pass but if you have time on your hands give Tuk Tuk a try. It’s worth it!!!
Kids love the Scallion Pancakes and Pad Thai. We like the Curries and Basil Duck. It does seem like the portions have gotten a little smaller over the past few years, but still a decent value.
I love the noodle dishes and the vegetable dumplings here. I think the vegetable dumplings are utterly magical (edit: as a friend puts it, sinful! . My favorite main is the crispy chicken Pad Thai. I also really like the green curry and the Crab cream puffs, although the latter is, in my opinion, slightly inferior to Han Fusion's Crab Rangoon. I docked one star mostly because I find it a little on the pricier side compared to similar options in town. Another reason is that the pickup area sometimes feels a little less clean than I'd like. Edit: updating to 5 stars because they cleaned the place up. Prices have risen, but I also discovered some dishes on the menu that seem worth it. I really enjoy the fresh ginger main dish and the garlic pepper main dish. The sticky-rice based desserts are also really good, and so is the panang curry.
I always get her green tofu curry and veggie dumplings. It's one of my favorite meals. Many dishes that use tofu instead of meat.
