This is a popular venue for locals in the old part of the city, and a definite one to head for on a cold day. The food is excellent and there is a huge range of drinks from which to choose. The welcome was friendly,...but, because of the popularity of the cafe, do not expect instant service. Just sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere while you wait for your order to arrive. What Antonius Bruns doesn't like about Café Konrad:
Hab hier mit ner freundin nen nachmittag verbracht. Apfelschmand- und oreodingsbumskuchen sind empfehlenswert. Kaffee und cappucchino waren wie im titel bereits verraten, ok. Alles in allem ein gutes café, für den "kultstatus" dann aber doch etwas lame. View all feedback.
The caffe in the old city hannover. the structure and architecture of the building is beautiful a d beautiful. the owner of this caffe is too cool and warm for everyone. the caffe has two etagens and the second floor is ideal for small meeting group or family. the quality of cakes and coffees are very good and I suggest to every visitor to try it
I'm here for a couple of cakes as the cakes are homemade and very tasty. good location in the old town and a good place to rest. mostly young people. the decor and decor is quite simple and the personal seemed friendly.
I have been here quite a few times and have always been satisfied with the service and the food. The staff are friendly and courteous and I had no trouble with enquiring after certain foods I am pregnant). Pregnant women can definitely eat the...mozzarella here! The food is delicious and the portions are rather big! Today I had bruschetta because I thought I don't feel like a big lunch but I was served a big plate of bruschetta and a huge side-salad! The bruschetta was tasty and not just bits of tomato thrown on a bit of bread. The accompanying salad was a mixture of different types of lettuce, cucumber, dainty strands of radish and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds. The dressing was light and creamy and complimented the salad well. I have read some of the other reviews and I must admit families with children my find it a bit hard to eat here, because of the layout and lack of babies' /children's amenities. Although in saying that, today a mum having a late breakfast with a friend managed fine. She had her pram by the table and there was space enough for other customers to pass by. The owner allowed her upstairs to a private area so she could change the baby's nappy. I personally can only highly recommend this place. The food is good and the prices are fine. The atmosphere is very nice and if you're lucky to get a place near the window , you can look out onto the old part of the city of Hannover. There are some beautiful buildings in the"Altstadt In summer it's fantastic to sit outside and enjoy a coffee or cool drink. Very relaxing!
We stumbled across this place whilst in Hanover. We weren't too sure what to expect but the menu was fun and luckily google translate helped. The waitress' we're all lovely and smiley! The food was great. Who doesn't want salmon, caviar, eggs and croissant with...a glass prosecco with brunch?! Amazing choice of cakes on display alongside the menu. Well worth a visit. Central location and lovely setting
The menu I liked, and the reception and the service were excellent. they need to say no to the cake! the coffee was fantastic and the potato soup was just delicious. very glad I had dinner here.
