Just had a solo dinner. Place was very crowded, staff very busy and maybe a bit less attentive than it should be. But that 's ok, no issue. Next to me was a table with a families and few kids. One of the boys dropped an almost empty glass in my direction on the floor. So go my shoes spilled with water and broken glass. One women lady is not a suitable term felt urged to take shovel and brush out of the waiters hand to clean up the mess herself. Then, she started to complain that I should lift my feet and why I would not have any (supportive??? expression on my face. When I responded: well you spilled my shoes with water/lemonade and glass fragments there is no reason for looking supportive . I 've been told in a very rude manner to shut up etc... So not sure if she was drunk or out of her mind or just suffering from a severe la k of manners and education (most likely . And yes, normally this is something to ignore. Unfortunately, the Turkish waiter witnessed all this disgrace and listened to her for me not understandable turkish bla bla which followed. Just there was 0 (zero reaction from the waiter at all. I would have expected for him to calm down his compatriot and make her politely know, that she/her boy dropped the glasses and caused the mess and a simple I 'm sorry might just do the trick. Unfortunately, silence was all I got from the waiter. No balls, or whatever was the reason for him to remain silent. I felt isolated and not welcomed. At the moment of paying, the head waiter told me it is restaurant policy to treat everyone eqyal.... This is apparently not the case, only if you are a noisy, ignorant turkish stupid, then everyone else is equally expected to keep up with the bad behaviour. Not me, never, again.
