This is a delightful chocolate shop. The staff members are friendly and eager to help. The ambiance is quite lovely as well. We sampled several gelato flavors, and the toasted marshmallow gelato was particularly excellent, with generous portions. The popcorn was also tasty—be sure to try the French Vanilla flavor. We also tasted some butterscotch chocolates; while they were enjoyable, they lacked a strong butterscotc... View all feedback.
What Arr Bee doesn't like about Chocolaterie Stam:
Management should take a more proactive approach in educating their team and boosting their confidence, as the staff often appears helpless when faced with minor challenges. On the positive side, the product quality is excellent. However, the gelato could use more toppings; it often feels like we’re only getting scoops from the bottom, and unless you specifically request them, only a fortunate few end up with extras.... This hidden gem in Hannibal, Missouri is truly underappreciated! They offer a fantastic selection of handmade chocolates and truffles, popcorn, gelato, and coffee. The gelato and chocolates we tried were absolutely fantastic! The shop has a professional, welcoming, and unique atmosphere that enhances the experience.

Overall, my experience was enjoyable. I expected the place to be a bit more upscale than it actually was. It's on the pricier side for a casual outing, but I believe their chocolate is definitely worth the expense. I tried their hot vanilla chai tea, and it wasn't great. It was lukewarm, possibly due to the amount of milk, but I'm not entirely sure. However, it did taste wonderful! If it hadn't been at room temperature, it would have been delightful. Nevertheless, I appreciated my time there. The atmosphere is lovely, with plenty to see both inside and outside the building. I would recommend it to chocolate lovers, but for casual visitors like me, I'm not certain it's worth the trip.

My husband took me here for my birthday, and since I love gelato, I was excited to try it out. They had a vast selection of chocolate flavors, but the gelato options were quite limited. I attempted to call ahead to find out the available flavors but only reached their voicemail. I left one message and called three more times, but received no response. If I had known the flavors beforehand, I probably wouldn’t have made the trip. Some of the flavors I remembered seeing were mango, birthday cake, limeade, red velvet, and hazelnut brownie. I ended up choosing the hazelnut brownie, but I wish I had gone for a smaller size, as I'm not a huge fan of chocolate. Unfortunately, the flavor was predominantly chocolate, and I’ve definitely had better gelato elsewhere. I wouldn’t return without knowing the flavor offerings in advance. They really need to update their Facebook page to inform customers about the available flavors and keep it current.
