Top's China - Hampton

I would advise against visiting this establishment. It was truly unappetizing. I witnessed a staff member wipe her sweat from her chest and forehead before handling my debit card. Additionally, the restaurant has been operating with an expired food permit that has been overdue for four years. To make matters worse, the woman who approached the counter was barefoot, and no one in the kitchen was wearing gloves while preparing food. The staff was also incredibly rude. I ended up throwing the food away and didn’t even bother asking for a refund because I anticipated how that would turn out. It seems that anyone leaving positive reviews may have either received takeout or lacks knowledge of proper food handling standards.

This restaurant has been run by the same family for over 25 years, which shows they must be doing something right.

I've been going to Top's for years, and I can confidently say they remain the best in the area! It's not really a place to dine in if you're looking for a pleasant atmosphere, but it's perfect for takeout on a lazy night or whenever you're craving delicious Chinese food. They prepare the dishes quickly and with fresh ingredients. A few times, I arrived just before closing, and they happily stopped everything to make my food. Plus, they generously fill the containers at a great price!

I really enjoyed this restaurant! They served my favorite dish, black pepper chicken, which was delicious—though I found it a bit too saucy for my taste. Unfortunately, the customer service could use some improvement. Don’t count on them to go above and beyond in that department; their main focus seems to be getting your food to you quickly so you can leave. But I’m not too upset about it!

The prices are reasonable, but I was still let down by my meal. My white rice was completely soaked in the garlic sauce that accompanies the "chicken garlic sauce," leaving just a small corner untouched. I think I'll look for a different option for dinner.
