What Rozalia Macovei doesn't like about Angelo's Pizzeria:
Very simple place paper sheets and plastic cutlery, but the pizza is excellent. Crust is light and fluffy and crispy around the edges, and their sauce is fantastic. View all feedback.
Everything I have tried from Angelo’s Pizzeria is great! Their pizza is unlike anyone else’s in the area and the service is excellent. Furthermore, the prices are some of the best around! If you’re looking for a good pizza place (and everything else they offer) in the area, stop here and give it a try!
Placed an online order and it said my food was ready for pickup. After having to wait another 40 minutes I received cold sandwiches that were supposed to be hot and cold fries, fresh cut fries were still raw in the middle. Cheese on sandwiches had been melted then congealed back into a hard clump. I had to throw away half of the food because it was inedible. Counter staff were also extremely rude.
I grew up eating a lot at Angelo's in Bangor, and it is great to have a place like the Hampden branch that can deliver to where I currently live, way out in the middle of basically nowhere.I want to preface this by saying that the staff I spoke to were all great, friendly, and understanding, including my delivery driver, who I could notice seemed very overworked. However a recent order recently rubbed me very much the wrong way in terms of food quality. I ordered some Mozzarella Sticks, a Chicken Caesar Wrap with lettuce, and a small Buffalo Chicken Pizza with Ranch. The Mozzarella Sticks were disgustingly overbattered and incredibly greasy. It almost made me vomit and it made me feeling like I had a rock in my stomach the entire next day.I took only a single bite of the wrap and other than smelling mustard in what was meant to be a Caesar wrap, first of all, was very strange. Second, I could not tell if the greens used in the wrap was traditional lettuce or grass clippings, because it looked like the former, but tasted like the latter.I should have started with the Buffalo Chicken Pizza with Ranch because it was probably the most unexciting thing I ordered, for better or for worse. There was some buffalo chicken on it and it tasted like buffalo chicken, but I couldn't taste any ranch whatsoever, so it just ended up being slightly spicy and kind of... bland. And that's not to mention the extremely stale crust that has been used forever seems to have gotten even more stale.I'm leaving this review in hopes that the quality of the food does eventually improve. However, when it was explained to me by the person who took my phone call that a ton of orders were running late, that leads me to believe a lot of this is down to poor management and the rest of the staff are doing the best they can.

I've been driving a couple of times and finally had the chance to go with pizza. the parking lot is enough to fit a few cars and there are a few tables out on the covered veranda. in the inner you will find more stands and tables much space for a decent group. the staff was friendly and the service was fast. I went with a pure cheese pizza and it was pretty good! the chest was thick, fluffy, but also airy and light. they certainly didn't jump on the cheese that was browned. the sauce was pleasantly sweet. there was a bit of a cheese slide, but I had nothing to do with it. overall I am happy with angelo and would return happy for more.
