We had not made reservations (recommended to do so), but only waited approx. 20 minutes to get a table. The service was first class. From the owner on down, extremely friendly. Great atmosphere. I had the meatloaf dinner, it was phenomenal. Likely thebest meatloaf I've had. My wife had the Mac and cheese, it was pretty good! Only complaint would be the margarita (fantastic)was $11 for not a very large margarita. Would've liked to receive a little more for the price. Worth a visit as you're in townor passing through!
This is great without a doubt! I normally don?t write a review right after dining. But this one is worthy. Plus, the staff is super friendly and courteous.
Delicious and great service! We?ve enjoyed eating here immensely. The salmon is delicious any way you order it. Shrimp cocktail are done just right. Always delicious specials and all desserts are made in house. The coconut cream pie is delicious. Serviceis great! Just call ahead as they fill up quickly.
An unexpected gem!!! In business since 1980 and much (all? of their fare is homemade. Chicken St. Vincent (lightly breaded, fried to perfection then under the broiler to melt the cheese and crab meat topping it, served with a yummy lobster saucespooned over it was out of this world. Sweet and sour collards were unusual and scrumptious. Erin was a very attentive waitressand quite eager to keep glasses full, plates cleared off, etc. MAN, would we do this place again!!!
We had the opportunity to dine at MacLeod's after finding out that our original choice closed at 2. Well, lucky us. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was tasty and the price we paid was less than we normally spend. We each had a drink, shared the ribs and chicken nachos and split a strawberry-peach cobbler with both vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on it! Myonly complaint which has NOTHING to do with them is that I left our take out box in the saddlebag of the bike overnight. BOO!
