There wasn't anything particularly outstanding during my visit. The chips were nice, but the fish was a bit oily. I found the menu setup confusing, as the main menu is posted behind the counter, while a different one is on the right side. The staff were polite, and the food was decent enough to make a stop here worthwhile. With a playground nearby and the Ansett Museum close by, it's a good spot to take a break. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lakeside Fish Shop:
This is likely the worst fish and chips I've had in the city. The fish had an unpleasant taste, and there was an overwhelming amount of batter that completely overshadowed the small piece of fish, which tasted like it had been frozen for a year. The chips were mediocre—soggy and greasy, lacking any crispiness. View all feedback.

Came here on 16/10/2022 take always only. Fish and chips were very nice. Had flake, butterfish shrimps and scallops. Price is good.
Absolutely brilliant. The flake tonight could not of been any better. Very satisfied and happy.
Have bought from here many times. Their food is consistently great. Hamburger with the lot and potato cakes are always a winner
