We were given drinks menu on... read more It was great to find such a quality restaurant when most were closed. The interior is classy with interesting artworks all around. We were given drinks menu on arrival, but it took a while for the food menu to be brought out. It was a little too dark where we were, at the back. Our steaks were well cooked to order and we really enjoyed our meals which were very well presented. Our sparkling wine was lovely, served in gorgeous champagne coupes (unusual these days). Will visit when in Hamilton again.

The oysters were perfect, and I had the bouillabaisse during our last visit, which was simply amazing. Jo, our hostess, has been fantastic, always attentive to our meals and overall experience. The venue's rich history adds an extra layer of authenticity that really sets it apart from the usual country spots. The wine list is extensive and impressive. While we don't eat meat, the steak selection looks exceptional—it definitely tempts us sometimes!
