My husband and I sat at The Blind Monk on Saturday afternoon and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were lovely. There is a large range of beers and cocktails and they are priced within the range of other similar establishments we have been to. I can highly recommend the Long Island Iced Tea, the Old Fashioned and the French Panty Dropper. We sat outside at first and enjoyed some people watching and then as the... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Blind Monk:
We had two of their burgers. They were without doubt the worst I and my son have ever had. The fillings were fine but the buns were so dried out that they literally exploded as we ate them. I complained to the waiter only to get a flippant "yeah, I'll tell the chef, they shouldn't be that dry". No word of apology, no offer of compensation. Obviously the chef is utterly incompetent and the waiter is a rank amateur! On... View all feedback.

I can highly recommend the Long Island Iced Tea, the Old Fashioned and the French Panty Dropper. We sat outside at first and enjoyed some people watching and then as the afternoon got long and cool, we moved inside. We still had a good view of the street, we were warm and cosy, and although it was very busy the service was quick and efficient. We also tried the beetroot and goats cheese arancini balls - they were generously in size and delicious. Absolutely loved it - we will definitely be back.
My partner and I decided to drop into the Blind Monk on Beaumont Street on a cold Saturday night to grab a quick drink, and found ourselves looking through the menu, which offered an interesting twist on pub food.We decided on both ordering the Lamb burgers with chips & aioli, and a sneaky Mojito, which was made before us in true cocktail enthusiasm! Our burgers arrived on a platter and looked great, full and inviting with a mint sauce and red relish like sauce which worked well together, a combination of tastes we agreed we hadn't experienced before and enjoyed. The chips were thin-cut and so crunchy, something we were definitely fans of! The aioli was amazing and seasoned perfectly.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique bar atmosphere, top-notch cocktails and a great meal.
We went to the Blind Monk for lunch. We sat outside by the warmth of the heaters. The had some great lunchtime specials. On the recommendation of the friendly staff member we all decided to have the beer and pot pie for $18. Great value as you could choose any of their designer beers and the pot pie was great. Loved the idea of the removable pastry lid which could use to scoop the goodies out with.
Love this place..Not our first visit and won't be the last..Great atmosphere and great cocktails...Wonderful friendly staff well..
Ive been to the blind monk twice and both times i have been blown away by how good the cocktails are here. The second time we went we had food with drinks and the chips were to die for! Solid.
