Taqueria Los Compadres - Hamilton

The flan was fantastic in texture, flavor, and presentation. They ruined it by putting chocolate on it. If you order flan get it with no chocolate. Enchiladas were yummy. They weren't traditional since the meat was on the outside but really good. Tamales were really good. The salsa wasn't that impressive. I would definitely go here again.

Don't be deterred by where this place is located. We took a chance for lunch and were very happy we did. The staff is very nice and the food was fantastic. You can even watch the tortillas being made inside the restaurant by a woman who has clearly perfected the art. Everything was very good and very authentic. I loved all the pottery that they were using to serve alcoholic drinks in. I didn't get to see one up close and personal but I saw them on other tables and as decoration around the restaurant. They also have bottled drinks, as well as fountain drinks. The restaurant was pretty crowded at lunch, so I can imagine that it's very popular for dinner.

First time visitor. Was very impressed. Very good atmosphere. Food was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and professional. I'm quite sure I will be returning very soon.

I ordered birria tacos for my daughter and myself and I will never be back. I don?t like doing this sort of thing but I can?t get my money back and it would?ve been different if it was maybe a piece or two of meat but no, every taco couldn?t be eaten. The meat was all fatty meat in every taco including my daughters tacos. The meat was mainly fat and couldn?t be chewed. I think it?s really a shame because I work hard to be able to eat out and to throw it all away is just terrible. It?s not like me to post bad reviews but for both orders to be bad? I feel it?s necessary. I?ll never go back.

This Mexican restaurant really gives the right vibes. Plus it has a prompt, friendly staff. My chicken and rice soup was good and it sure was a big serving . I'll stop back in next time I'm in Hamilton.
