What User likes about WASS Ethiopian Restaurant:
It usually starts with the very friendly people who own and run the restaurant, then the food. It is completely different from anything North Americans are used to, but absolutely wonderful. The flavours of the Doro Wat, with all of the berbere spices, the different types of lentils, vegetables and salad, to the wonderful Shiro Wat. Just be careful that it isn't too hot! All eaten with injera- the flatbread that is s... View all feedback. What User doesn't like about WASS Ethiopian Restaurant:
Maybe I ordered incorrectly. I had the vegetarian platter for $14, I'm not sure if that was more for sharing. It was a big portion but I felt some parts were flavourful but other parts not so much. Also I felt like the menu lacked selection. There was one waitress but while she was friendly, I did feel like it took a while. While Wass doesn't look like much from the outside, the food keeps me coming back _If you have never had Ethiopian before, try a sample plate.
Not the best ethiopian place but it's the best you'll find in Hamilton.

read moreLocated in an inviting atmosphere, Wass impresses with its extensive Ethiopian menu. While some dishes may lack flavor, others, like the vegetarian platter and lamb dish, are delicious. Service can be slow, but staff are friendly and accommodating. For vegans, it's recommended to double-check menu items. Traditional teff flour injera bread enhances the dining experience. Ethiopian beverages like honey wine add to the authenticity. Inexpensive pricing and knowledgeable staff make Wass a must-visit for those seeking unique and flavorful Ethiopian cuisine. Whether you're a vegetarian, vegan, or meat lover, Wass has something to offer for everyone, making it a top choice for an unforgettable dining experience.
