Sunset Grill - Hamilton
Sunset Grill
Description
Sunset Grill, located near Eastgate Square, offers an all-day breakfast experience that has received mixed reviews from customers. While some patrons have enjoyed their meals, such as the Sunset Super with blueberry pancakes, others have been disappointed with burnt home fries, soggy bacon, and slow service. The restaurant seems to have a diverse menu with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices, but some customers have noted a decline in the quality of their food over the years. The atmosphere is described as clean and pleasant, but some have encountered loud and disruptive children. Overall, Sunset Grill appears to be a hit or miss option for breakfast, with friendly staff and quick service being highlighted as positives.

I met the owner when I checked in, and it was one of the friendliest experiences I've ever had. We're visiting from the States, and he even exchanged our money and declined a tip, which saved us time trying to find a currency exchange. That really speaks to his character. As for the food – excellent! The avocado toast was the best I've ever had. It was incredibly refreshing, with a fantastic blend of flavors from the feta, olives, and the creaminess of the avocado, topped off with a hint of red onion. The service was quick and courteous, and the restaurant was spotless. I absolutely love this place!
We were seated quickly, and the flow of customers was very efficient. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I believe our server's name was Meekee, and she was very friendly and attentive. It was our first time dining out in years, and we are so glad we chose this place!
I had the BLT with home fries, and the portion was generous. They certainly don't skimp on the bacon or the serving size, which is fantastic. The prices are great too! I absolutely love this place.
Its a decent breakfast spot, always has been. I have been going to Sunset Grills for years, multiple locations and the one in Eastgate is hit or miss. It actually is 50/50 whether it is tasty or not. Sometimes it just tastes...bad, like the ingredients are old. I don't think its any fault of the chefs. For delivery, about fifty percent of the time they forget something and 100 percent of the time its the toast. When it hits, it hits though and that will never change.
