Our first visit to this bbq house. You order and pay at the register and your food is ready quickly. Self serve plates and cutlery, then you pick up your food. What User doesn't like about Southern Smoke Barbecue House:
Been here a few times now. Each time the ribs were not too great, dry and not very tender, and for the cost I would expect them to be way better. Pulled pork is also a bit dry and I'm not a fan of the raw cabbage they toss on the top of the sandwich version. Their fried chicken is incredible here. I also really enjoyed their mac and cheese and beans. To me the cornbread didn't taste fresh and seemed pretty greasy. It's very casual dining but the service is very good.
We have been in here a few times for lunch and we finally made it to dinner. The place was packed as always but the service is still amazing. The place is always clean. The food melts in your mouth and have not had one thing I did not like. One of the best BBQ restaurants in the Hamilton/Stoney Creek area.
This is definitely my top choice for dining in Hamilton! I absolutely adore this place.
The food at this restaurant is delicious. We ordered the sample platter, which came with a choice of three meats.
The BBQ was decent, but the service was lacking. We felt rushed and the overall experience was not very pleasant or welcoming. However, the cooking staff was friendly. The price was fair for what you get, but overall, it was just okay.
