Contribute FeedbackShoeless Joe's in Hamilton offers a mixed experience with excellent food but inconsistent service. The atmosphere is vibrant with multiple TV screens and a spacious patio. The food, including nachos and burgers, is tasty, but the service can be slow and mediocre. The staff ranges from friendly and attentive to inattentive and unprofessional. Prices are a bit high, but the overall experience is enjoyable, especially for groups looking to enjoy drinks and food in a lively setting. Despite some downsides, Shoeless Joe's remains a popular spot for young patrons.
Shoeless Joe's was a nice addition to the food scene on Upper James.
NastyOrdered nachosCame cold and all melted together in a pileCalamari was mushy and also cold.
Shoeless Joe's is kind of awkward to me - the set up for the entrance is at the back facing the back parking lot, away from the street.
A couple of buddies and I went on a Thursday night. The bar was empty, and it still took us 20mins to get any service for a drink. We went upstairs to the patio. Great spot out there. We all ordered a beer and had great conversation with a few laughs. We ordered another beer, and had one shot with some other friends, that had showed up. We made 1 cheer, and were told that "this is not a bar. it's a restaurant"! needles to say we didn't stay after that! Very disappointed.
We have been twice and both times the food was great but the service sucked. The first time, we ended up getting our meal for free because our waitress disappeared on us for over 30 min. The second time, she was just really slow. All the other waiters were running around and we asked them for things more then our own waiter cause they were much quicker. The food is definitely what will take us back. The place is new and very clean and lots of seating inside and outside. They have many tv's to watch sports and stuff as well.
