She is Chinese and we have traveled in Sichuan and other provinces in China.... read more My wife and I often eat here. The food is tasty, spicy, authentic, and affordable. She is Chinese and we have traveled in Sichuan and other provinces in China. We enjoy the hot oil fish (excellent, a signature dish), salt and pepper shrimp, and several pork, chicken and tofu dishes. The decor is very basic and most of the clients seem to be students. You will not get much explanation of the dishes from the servers and none of the familiar Cantonese dishes are on the menu. Try any of the chef's special dishes. There is a related (equally good) restaurant in Mississauga (Red Lotus) that we also visit regularly. Alcohol is not served and payment is cash only.

Luckily, we found Rouge River, where although it's not the nicest looking restaurant, it certainly has great food and service. A few of our all time favourite dishes are there and it's affordable, so we love going there. It's the 2nd best thing to eating in China.

Fortunately we found Rouge River where, although it is not the most beautiful restaurant, it certainly has great food and service. Some of our favorite dishes are here and it is affordable so we love to go there. It's the 2nd best to eat in China.
