We made up a Trivia group for Tues. at 7 PM, which is held weekly. During the fun trivia game we had some very good food. I had pulled pork kestadillas(big spelling error-glad spelling isn't on the trivia), my friend had chicken wings(he said they were fairly good). I had a apple fritter with whip cream and icecream. It was delicious. I will return to this bar. They have a special food item each evening. Lots of beer... View all feedback.

I've eaten here and really no big problems. I ordered a Quinoa salad that was supposed to be Arugula, Quinoa, Pecans, Feta, Pears. What I got for $14 was a cup of quinoa, and 3 pieces of arugula, a tablespoon of crushed pecans....I'm not exaggerated. I wish I had taken a picture. When I asked the server if it should be, she said I don't know. Terrible answer she didn't care. View all feedback.

Great place for a meal if you are near MacMaster University. Beautiful old building with tons of character and great menu. They have great specials daily which we had, the chicken and waffles were awesome. The have a few lunch deals as well so had that too. Full bar so have local beers to pick from. Excellent and friendly wait staff.
Siting on the patio in the summer time is a great thing to do! Very relaxing and beautiful! The food is good. The service is medium.
We went to the Phoenix to celebrate a graduate thesis defence, where you are honoured by drinking from a challis. The Phoenix has a great patio; however, watch out for the yellow jackets! We ordered the steak flat bread, the bison burger, and bacon blue cheese burger. Our food was well cooked and the prices are very reasonable. You must visit if you are on campus at McMaster.
What a great find! A friend from Hamilton suggested the Phoenix Bar & Grill, which is on the McMaster University campus. Great location and it's in the Refectory Building.I had the classic chicken club sandwich with fries. It was very good and also a good portion. Many beers available. It was quite busy but we were seated right away and served within a few minutes.Nice outside patio as well, which overlooks a ravine.
