Contribute FeedbackJoy Inn, previously known as Le Chinois, is a Chinese restaurant on Ottawa Street that has received mixed reviews lately. One disgruntled customer was disappointed with the pricing strategy on Mother's Day, feeling that discounts should have been offered to celebrate the occasion. Another customer complained about the quality of the food, mentioning overcooked noodles and undercooked beef with vegetables. On the other hand, loyal patrons have praised the consistent quality of the food, fair pricing, generous portions, and accommodating service. Despite some negative feedback, many customers continue to visit Joy Inn for their Chinese food cravings.
I am very upset with this restaurant on Mother's Day. We have been coming here for years and on Mother's Day. They have a menu that says no discounts or free dishes after a certain amount, I feel this is discriminating and very unrespectful of mothers on their special day. Why should this restaurant be discriminating their prices on this day? They should be happy. To give us the discount and the free dish if we are entitled to this like always every day .I have been coming here for many years and I feel they are taking advantage on families for Mother's Day. This restaurant should be ashamed for what they are doing. There are many customers that support this restaurant. So why are they being so cheap on this day? Shame on this establishment and I think from now on. I will not come back here because I don't believe in what they Are doing? I hope many people will comment on this because they want us to support local business but this local business does not support us.l give this 0 stars out of 5.
Great chinese food. So surprise that price has not gone up much and portions are still big as it always has. Will keep supporting them since theyve barely raised price and quality and quantity has been constant. My go to when i crave chinese food?.
This is take out only as I remember. The staff is nice and the value for the money is great. This is Canadian style Chinese food.
Seriously delicious, high quality ingredients, no fake red dyed syrup coated chicken. My only complaint would be the hot and sour which is almost impossible to get a delicious bowl of at a carry out was oddly sweet. It was still way better than many I have tried what was my least favourite thing of the order. It's definitely my new go to Chinese joint! Also? So speedy!
Ignorant, literally tried to order 2 large rice . Was told just to come in and order she’s not placing an order for pickup just for 2 large rice. Meanwhile the husband and I do this all the time .Then she ignorantly proceeded to give me trouble when I gave her my husband phone number to pick up the food because he is picking it up? Why would I give you my number when I’m not the one getting the food?? Like who are you ?? Do better!!!??? Maybe spend more money on how to properly train your staff. Never giving them business again.
