Greek Grill Express - Hamilton

My sis in law and her family eat here often because there are several food issues in her family and the menu at Greek Grill Express works for them. We joined her there on a dismal, rainy night for a casual dinner and the warm atmosphere and wonderful food made us forget entirely about the weather. She and my husband had souvlaki platters which they both enjoyed. I had the lamb chops and were they ever fabulous succulent, flavourful and grilled to perfection. It 's hard to get excited about rice but the rice and Greek potatoes that came with the lamb were, again, just loaded with flavour. This is by no means a fancy place it is just as the name suggests an express grill and while the decor isn 't fancy, the food, the value and the welcome are first rate! Our only regret is we were all too stuffed to order dessert! (sis in law says their baklava is delicious)

Stopped in here to grab some lunch. Nice quick and friendly service. You order at the counter and if you're dining in you just take a seat and they'll bring it you once it's ready. I had the Steak Sandwich which was served Greek Style, that is to say with lettuce, tomato and tzatziki sauce along with a Greek Salad. It was all delicious and a fair price. Will definitely stop in here again.

I come here often and order the chicken souvlaki on a pita and Greek salad. Their chicken pita is amazing with lots of flavour! One of my favourites in Hamilton. I recommend to try this place out if you already haven't !

I went to the Greek Grill Express for takeout for my family. It was after 6pm and it was a miserable winter night. I wanted to order 4 chicken souvlaki dinners but they were almost out of chicken so I received 2 chicken and 2 pork souvlaki dinners. I did find that odd that they had no more chicken but things do happen. The dinners came with 2 skewers of meat, rice, potatoes and a separate container of Greek salad. Plus pita and tzatziki sauce. I thought the meal was overall pretty good. The meat wasn't overally flavorful but cooked just right; the rice was a little mushy and the potatoes were soft in the middle but a little crunchy on the outside. The salad was a good size but nothing to get excited about. It cost under 70.00 for the 4 of us. I wouldn't rush back to eat here but I found this restaurant at least friendly good service and family run. I like a place that tries hard and works together even if I wasn't blown away by the food.

I came to Greek Grill Express about a week ago from a recommendation, and it was one word...AMAZING! The place was very busy and even though not many people were working, the service was excellent! For all the food I ordered, the price was great! Never had I found better Greek food in Hamilton! For anybody looking for great authentic Greek food served with warm, family-style service, with great prices, you gotta check this place out!
