What a wonderful little diner at the edge of Gage Park. Vegetable soup with couscous was excellent, as was the cookie I enjoyed for desert which was light and delicately flavoured. By the time we finished our lunch every table was filled. Free parking is available on the street. It is a perfect place for an affordable meal after a walk in the park or shopping on Ottawa Street. What User doesn't like about Gage Park Diner:
Do not go to this restaurant if there are more than 4 people and you want to sit together....25% are added to your bill. I understand that's a small place, but that's incredible. Much better to turn 6 people away and... an empty restaurant... View all feedback.
This place is a jewel. very family-friendly and health-friendly eating. I don't eat much, but this place is my best choice.
Very good food. ordered 2 English muffins one with speck, one with ham, as well as in-house french with twirls. was great, good portion size, great taste, great price. feels like eating at home and personally, that I love.
I love a good diner and this is mos def a big one! burger was great, reuben amazing, and I loved the sweet grass icy. my son spilled his pancake syrup over himself and they fell back to help and clean it up (was all about his hot and all his legs and wearing a heel-resistant in his shoes including him. only a whole place around the great square and we will definitely make it a regular place for brunch or lunch!
