FoodBox - Hamilton

Just got fish and chips take out today got home and so much grease at bottom of take out container it was disgusting! Not even edible!! After spending 70.00 for 5 dinners never again!!! Much better and cheaper places to get way better quality food!

I can say there burgers and crispy fries and gra or poutine and oinion rings taste great but I can't say the same for the pizza or panzerotti or the batter on the fish. But they very friendly and fast service and they place is nice and clean..

As a chef I get asked "do you ever eat non fancy food?" and of course we all do. Having said that though, it doesn't mean that when I want a burger or pizza or fish n' chips, that I will settle for the humdrum of the chains, or drop my standards to settle for whatever a line cook may slap on a plate, I, like most chefs simply will not. There is never an excuse for not preparing any meal at the highest standard.We as culinary professional always want the highest in QSC (Quality, Standards, Cleanliness) drop just one and you fail your customers. So when it comes to this restaurant you find that not only do they surpass QSC but are driven on to excellence.I have had the pleasure of dining here three times now, Burgers are incredibly good, fresh, juicy and perfectly constructed, the burger is the king of sandwiches and The Food Box is its crown.Fish N Chips are crisp and plentiful, pizzas are hand made and hand build, with a very tasty sauce. Simply saying, put the Food Box as number 1 on your phone and whenever your in Hamilton go here first. If you miss out on this one then you really missed an opportunity to experience excellence, they put the comfort in comfort food.

I went later on in the evening on Tuesday for the Panzerotti special, was a good sized, well made item. Loved the side patio, but was late fall and too cold and dark, but be great for summer. Quick service, huge menu, with a lot of intriguing choices. Recommend

This is a nice little spot. Food is always delish and never disappointing. Reasonable in pricing with friendly staff.
