Was looking for a place to grab lunch while waiting for a family member having a procedure at Hamilton General.

This isn't a fancy restaurant. It's very bare bones with a small bar. Each time I have visited locals are there to watch soccer or share fellowship. There are maybe 12 tables in the place so it fills quickly. The food is exceptional! Really homemade BBQ Chicken that melts in your mouth. The sides are also homemade and delicious. The portions are large so you can share, but you may not want to! We have a family member in Hospital at the General across the street so we have been there a few times and it never disappoints. Yes you wait a bit longer, but it takes time to cook from scratch. Highly recommend.

This is up there amongst the best BBQ chicken I have ever had. I have only done take-out and the wait is long. I have learned to call in the order for pick-up since my first visit. The BBQ chicken is over the top, and the sauce is different, but soo good. The charcoal BBQ crispy chicken leaves your mouth watering for more. My first visit someone had ordered 40 chickens for some sort of event. The locals know all about this place, the area is in a rougher part of town. Did I mention how good the chicken was? Be it Florida- South Carolina, NY State, best BBQ chicken may just be in Hamilton. It's that good folks.

Our dinners group had a great time at this family owned and run Portuguese restaurant. The food is all made in house and is exceptionally tasty. From the churrasqueira chicken, to the spicy shrimp and the yummy flans and tarts, it was delicious, plentiful and very reasonably priced. The service is quick and friendly, and you can often find a local playing/singing Portuguese music at the end of the night.
